The White House’s current 2005 budget would eliminate funding for significant parts of the “Small Business Innovation Research” grant program, as well as slashing or completely eliminating funds for over 30 other small business programs. Obviously, this is unacceptabe, especially given the current economic climate. I’m not the only one criticizing this move…
Ranking Democrat on the House Small Business Committee Rep. Nydia Velazquez (D, NY) said, in a report issued today, “This budget is not about getting our nation back on track but about stubbornly sticking to economic policies that have not worked and are to the detriment of so many in this country.”
